Where is the best place to stay in Valdivia?

The combination of its natural attractions and the historical individuality of its community has made Valdivia a popular tourist destination. Nestled between three rivers; the Calle-Calle River, El Cruces River and the Valdivia-Cau-Cau River, Valdivia is also famous for its cultural nightlife.

The best place to stay in Valdivia is the city centre, where you can find the main tourist attractions and a whole host of leisure activities. Among the many attractions that Valdivia has to offer, one of the most interesting is the Fluvial market where you will find a large variety of fish and sea lions to look at. Other important attractions are the seafront promenade, which borders the Valdivia and Calle-Calle rivers, as well as the O´Brien Naval Submarine Museum which allows you to take a tour around a real submarine. Crossing the Valdivia River on foot, you will arrive at Teja Island where you can enjoy some breath-taking views of the botanical gardens and Saval Park. Valdivia´s shopping activity is centred around the outskirts of Ramón Picarte Avenue, which is the city´s main shopping street.

Hotels in Valdivia are not well known for their quality. Hotels with river views are in high demand and it’s also important to make sure they have good air conditioning if visiting in summer. A great alternative accommodation option is renting a cabin, which come fully equipped with everything you may need.
