Where is the best place to stay in Búzios?

Located not far from Río de Janeiro, Búzios is a real gift from nature which no human design would be capable of recreating. This small peninsular offers beautiful beaches and bays mixed in with nature, making every corner more beautiful than the next.
Each of its 23 beaches has a special charm to it, although if what you are looking for is a lively atmosphere, restaurants, nightlife, pubs and shopping, the best place to stay is Búzios city centre. The beautiful Street Rua das Pedras is the most famous street in Búzios and is where all the action happens. If staying in the centre, you will have beaches such as the Brava beach and Playa dos Pasos just a short walk away and can easily get around to restaurants via one of the vans or taxis that have a rank there.
The area of Humaita offers impressive views of the seafront and Búzios bay and boasts incredibly beautiful sunsets. It´s an ideal area for those looking for a quieter place to stay but also within walking distance of the city centre.
Although it´s not hard to stumble across beautiful beaches here, if you´re looking to visit the best places along the 8km of the Búzios peninsular, the best place to stay is in one of the hotels located in the centre. Its streets, many of which are pedestrian, are safe and well signposted, making it easy to get around on foot from your hotel and easy to find the area´s most spectacular beaches. There are several minibus stops in the centre with buses that will take you all along the main street (Estrada José Bento Ribeiro Dantas) or you can also easily grab a taxi to any beach or destination. For example, a taxi fare from Rua das Pedras to João Fernandes o Geribá will cost approximately R$ 25 and takes no more than ten minutes.
