Zakynthos Town

Zakynthos Town is nestled on the east coast and just 10 minutes from the airport which means no long transfer times when you land on this picturesque island. The capital is a great place to stay if you wish to explore local history or use it as a base to explore the island which is just 123 kilometres in length and 20 kilometres wide.

 

The historic town is sprinkled with shops, cafes, bars and tavernas, and there’s low key nightlife with DJ’s and live music. Beautiful beaches are walking distance or a short bus ride away, or if you wish to venture further afield, hire a car to discover quieter villages and secluded paradise beaches to the north, or jump on a ferry to Kilini on the Greek Mainland or the neighbouring island of Kefalonia.
